Analisis Efisiensi Proses Pemotongan Wrapping Tape dengan Menggunakan Metode Value Stream Mapping (VSM) dan Pendekatan Lean Manufacturing

This study aims to design and devolop an automatic weighing system for PVC
colourant material at the PT XYZ warehouse to overcome the issue of
inaccurate weighing, which leads to material waste and reduced process
efficiency. Additionally, the study seeks to determine the Defect Per Million
Opportunities (DPMO) value and sigma level before and after the
implementation of the automatic weighing system.The research method used is
Six Sigma with the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control)
approach. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and field
studies, and then analyzed using tools such as fishbone diagrams, FMEA, and
DPMO calculations to measure performance and the effectiveness of the
designed system. The results show that the automatic weighing system
successfully reduced the DPMO value from 17,369.71 to 5,144.36 and
increased the sigma level from 3.61 to 4.07. The defect percentage also
decreased from 3.50% to 1.03%. Thus, the automatic weighing system
effectively improves the accuracy, efficiency, and quality of the PVC colourant
weighing process at the PT XYZ warehouse
